Snippet palette
Find and insert any snippet without remembering its shortcut.
Type ;; in any text field: a search list opens right at your cursor. Type a few letters of what you need, then press Enter to insert the snippet.
How to use it
1In any field, type the palette opener — ;; by default.
2Type a few letters: Korte searches the name, the shortcut, the description and the text of your snippets (accents and case don't matter). Before you type, your most-used snippets come first.
3Move with ↑ and ↓, then press Enter to insert. Escape closes the palette.
If the snippet has fields to fill in, the usual form opens before the text is inserted.
Where it works
Plain text fields, rich editors (Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, Notion…), embedded frames, and Google Docs and Google Sheets.
Change the opener
Go to Settings → General → Snippet palette. Use 2 to 6 characters, no spaces, with at least one symbol (; / , . !…) so the palette never opens in the middle of a sentence. When you're signed in, the setting syncs to all your browsers.
Avoid dead keys (^ ¨ ` ´ ~), and make sure none of your shortcuts contains the opener — otherwise the palette won't open.
